When Project PDX needed signage assistance with their project at The Grove in Northwest Crossing they contacted the team at MC Smith for help.

The main exterior sign for the Grove Market Hall building that faces the main NWX roundabout on Mt Washington Drive was fabricated from aluminum and features CNC routed replaceable sign panels for each of the tenants.  The sign is finished with durable powder coat finish and premium vinyl letters for the individual business inside the Market Hall.

The Grove Assembly building features a combination of retail and coworking space. For this building we fabricated a standard wall sign for the north entrance.  That sign utilizes a custom fabricated aluminum pan base with removable aluminum plates for each tenant.

The south entrance of The Grove Assembly building presented a bit more interesting challenge due to the rough cut cedar windscreen accent at this entrance.  For this application we fabricated individual aluminum plates that were cut on a press and bent on a metal brake to form light weight but rigid panels. The returns on the panel add both strength and depth to the design. Each individual panel has a 90 degree return leg for attachment. The result is a contemporary design with hidden fasteners that blend seamlessly with the overall building and project design.
